About Our Agency
At Tim Truett Agency, we believe in doing business ethically. Our mission is simple: treat clients the way we would want to be treated – listen to their needs, educate to ensure understanding, and advocate for them every step of the way. Although we are a Farmers Insurance agency, we have access to a wide variety of insurance carriers, which allows us to find the right coverage at the right price.
Meet Tim Truett
Family Values First
The values that Tim has adopted to run his agency are intertwined with his values as a family man. Tim is the first to attribute any success he has to the support of his family. Tim has an amazing wife, Erma, and has six wonderful children, ages 24 to 14, including three adopted special needs kids that still live at home. His approach to his clients draws from the same spirit of dedication he has toward his own family.
Arizona Roots
Tim was born in Flagstaff, but has lived in almost every corner of Arizona, to include not only the Phoenix Metropolitan area, but towns and cities such as Wickenburg, Sierra Vista, Bagdad, Globe, Superior, Seligman, and Maricopa. Having made friends all over the state, Tim has an understanding and caring for those issues shared by all, and for those that are distinct to individual communities.
A Career in Service
Tim spent 26 years in law enforcement, at every level from a Patrol Officer to a Chief of Police. Along the way he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University and a Master of Administration degree in Public Management from Northern Arizona University. After retiring from law enforcement, he went into insurance, working claims, but ultimately decided his passion was to be an Agent.
Professional Expertise
Regarding insurance, Tim has earned his Property & Casualty and his Life and Health licenses. Regarding financial services, he has earned his SIE, Series 6, Series 63, and Series 65 certifications. Tim also completed the graduate-level coursework needed for his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation. It was on this foundation that Tim founded his agency with a simple belief: insurance isn’t just about policies – it’s about people.
